  • Forskningsinteresser

    • Spatio-temporal variability in trophic interactions in terrestrial arctic ecosystems, and how they are affected by a changing climate
    • Management of mesopredators in the low Arctic
    • Population genetics, phylogeography and paleo-ecology of arctic organisms, both animals and plants

    Ongoing projects:

    - leader for the on Varanger

    - Drivers and Feedbacks of Changes in Arctic Terrestrial Biodiversity (EU H2020), lead by Bruce Forbes at the Arctic Centre in Rovaniemi

Interactions of natural and social systems with climate change, globalization, and infrastructure development in Yamal (Russian Arctic) - NSF project lead by Valeriy Ivanov, University of Michigan.

Norwegian Centre for Arctic Ecosystem Genomics (ArcEGen), lead by Inger Greve Alsos, TMU

: a project funded by Interreg Aurora where public authorities, researchers, and NGOs join forces to strengthen arctic fox populations shared by Norway, Sweden and Finland. The project is lead by Länstyrrelsen i Norrbotn and will focus on conservation measures for the arctic fox, but also on outreach activities to create awareness, involve more interest groups, and improve information availability.
