Fyrtårn/Beacon Project SusSTEMEd: Center for Sustainable STEM Education: A First Progress Report
SusSTEMEd aims at placing sustainability at the core of STEM education at ÐÒÔË´óתÅÌ.
The Beacon (fyrtårn) project aims at developing a world-class, sustainable curriculum in the chemical and materials sciences that is grounded in a contemporary socio-economic and ecological context, responsive to the jobs market, and attractive to an increasingly diverse Norwegian population. The project originated in ÐÒÔË´óתÅÌ's led by in cooperation with the organic chemistry, materials science, and geochemistry milieus at ÐÒÔË´óתÅÌ. Three work packages are currently in place: (a) t, (b) , and (c) . In this seminar (14:15–15:00), Abhik will present progress over the first year of the Project as well as some plans for the future. At 15:00, the floor will be open for discussion with interested parties, including ÐÒÔË´óתÅÌ students and colleagues, until 15:45.
